Support individuals with developmental disabilities in a day program setting, promoting their health, safety, and well-being, and advocating for their needs.

As an Instructor Caregiver, you will support individuals with daily living and vocational activities, prepare meals, and assist with clean-up. You will also participate in client assessment, planning, and evaluation processes, and input client notes into computer programs. You will work closely with supervisors to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Develop and implement daily routines for clients, as outlined in their Individual Program Plan.
  
• Assist clients with bathroom needs, change undergarments and clothing as needed, and prepare daily meals.
  
• Support clients with daily living and vocational activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  
• Pick up and drop off clients in company vans, as needed.
  
• Participate in client assessment, planning, and evaluation processes, and input client notes into computer programs.
  
• Attend regular staff meetings and participate in continuing education and training.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
    
  • ASL preferred, but not required.
    
  • Must be at least 21 years old and have a California Driver's License.
    
  • Must pass a background check and have a Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
    
  • Must have First Aid/CPR certification.
    
    
    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
